Hi, I’m Kavina and I’m here to share all my learnings about the wonders of the vegan world. When I was 2 years old, my mom developed a dairy, nut, and egg allergy. This led to her becoming vegan and it changed my entire diet and way of life growing up. As the early 2000’s did not have nearly as many vegan products that are in stores today, my parents tried to make separate batches of food-one vegan and one non-vegan, but it became very difficult. Slowly over the years we began to adopt the vegan replacement items instead of completely cutting that food out of our diets. Trips to Whole Foods and other grocery stores became our fun family outings as we made it a game to see what new vegan products had been added to the market. We’d buy 1 or 2 of these new products and eat them for dinner/snack while we played games and watched a movie. Every time we go on vacation, the minute we land, my family and I search up vegan restaurants around us. These small changes completely altered the way I saw the world. Now, traveling to me not only means experiencing each country but experiencing the vegan food culture every country has to offer. My eyes have been opened to so many cool and innovative vegan products and I’d love nothing more than to share them and make them accessible to you all! On this blog I’ll share creative vegan/allergy friendly food alternatives, vegan friendly restaurants all over the US, and tips on how to travel as a vegan or with food allergies!
